SCAPHOID FRACTURES
Scaphoid fractures can occur after trauma and falling on an outstretched hand. They often present with pain and swelling in the thumb side of the wrist.

Treatment is dependent on multiple factors that can be evaluated in the office with x-rays and physical examination
​
Non-operative treatment options:​
Splinting or casting for 10-16 weeks

Screw fixation of the scaphoid
