FLEXOR TENDON REPAIR
Flexor tendon repairs require extensive incisions to the finger and hand. This requires general anesthesia. Therapy is usually initiated 4-5 days after surgery to prevent scar formation in the finger after surgery. A protective splint is worn for 6 weeks before gradual strengthening.

Depending on the timing of your injury, you may require multiple procedures to optimize the motion of your finger.

Your post-operative protocol is dependent on the finger that is injured as well as the location of the finger.
