About Dr. Twu
Dr. Jonathan Twu is a fellowship trained board certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in hand, wrist and elbow conditions. He grew up in the Chicago suburbs and is excited to be back in his hometown.
Dr. Twu began his academic career at University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign where he earned a bachelor's degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology with honors. He then attended medical school at University of Illinois College of Medicine in Rockford. He graduated with honors and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.

He then completed his orthopedic surgery residency and hand and upper extremity fellowship at the prestigious University of Chicago program.

Dr. Twu has published peer-reviewed original research in the Journal of Hand Surgery and has presented at multiple meetings. He has authored chapters, received research grants and has been awarded top clinical science awards at conferences. During his residency, his class was awarded top consultant service.

He is an active member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand and the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. He is a Castle Connolly Rising Star Top Doctor.
